Events

Face Painting, Pony Rides, Bouncy House and Child Petting Camel

One of the goals for the City of Robinson is to enhance the community's quality of life, and a way we do that is through community-centered family events at the city's Peplow Park. The events held at the park are instrumental in creating a feeling of community and providing healthy activities.

Through partnerships with local businesses, we are able to provide these events which in turn allow the businesses to interact and build relationships with clients and customers.

Movies in the Park

The City hosts three movies in the park throughout summer, typically one in June, one in July and one in August. The Movie in the Park in August is also a partnership with the Robinson Police Department as the National Night Out Kickoff Party.

Robinson Festival

Our biggest event of the year is by far our Robinson Festival, held towards the end of September each year. The festival began as something fun for the residents of Robinson to attend and enjoy as well as to encourage tourism to the City of Robinson. The first year we saw an attendance around 1500 and by our third year, we attracted over 3,500 people. Our hope is this annual event will grow to a much larger scale such as festivals like; the Great Mosquito Texas Festival, Chili Fest, and Holland-Corn Festival.

The Festival encompasses' an array of musical acts beginning in the afternoon. There is our famous Kids Rock area that opens with the gates and includes several free and low-cost activities such as:

  • Face painting
  • Inflatables
  • A petting zoo
  • Pony rides
  • Rock wall
  • Trackless train rides
  • V4 bungee jump
  • Zip line

There will be a vendor area, live music, the George's Big' O Tent, and a Game Day Viewing Area for the adults to enjoy. The event doesn't stop there, it will offer contests such as; a goat roping and annual washer tournament.
